• GEODOS is a program suite that handles nearly every task when you work with a totalstation or a theodolite.
  • Its use spans from construction work, roads and  bridges, precision measuring for the industry to land surveying.

Features

  • You can communicate with almost every brand and type of totalstation on the market. 
  • 30 000 points/ 1 Megabyte of disk space. Disks are available up to 8 Megabyte.
  • An older totalstation will have a lot of new potential in conjunction with GEODOS.
  • The new servo controlled "One man stations" may be remote controlled via radio modem.
  • Perform area and volume calculations directly in the field.
  • File transfer option available for use with portable modems. Saves time in the field.

The subprograms of GEODOS

  • Free station. Lets you establish a station regardless of your position. As long as you can measure at least 2 known points you may set up where it is convenient. You may establish using 2 Pt resection, Least square or Helmert. 
  • View Data This is a  series of windows that are always available and keeps you informed of coordinates, measured data and much more. The different views are accessed from a single key pressure.
  • Z-Station. Establish instrument height refereeing to know objects.
  • CoGeo. A series of useful programs to perform calculations using coordinates or data. Areas and Volumes may be calculated. Helmert transformations, resection, intersection to name a few of the options. 
  • Roadline. Program for defining alignments in plane, profile and cross sections for roads bridges and tunnels. Road set out functions.
  • Refline. Measure or set out using various reference objects. Lines, curves, road lines, spheres .... .
  • Raked Piles. Program that aids the setting out and control measuring of raked piles. 
  • Auto sectioning. This program is used with an servo controlled totalstation that has a laser distance meter. The program will automatically measure and section a tunnel or a flat surface. The savings in time are substantial using this method. Ca: 1000 points / hour can be expected.  
  • Sliding form. Keeps track of the position of sliding form. Useful when you are building a tilted pylon for a bridge.
  • ABC Measure. Lets you measure an object that is difficult to reach with a prism. Link

    • Optional plugin program modules

    These are plugin programs that you may purchase to further extend the use of GEODOS. 
  • RMS. Program for using 2 - 3 totalstations or theodolites. Precision measurements are possible using this program. 
  • Machine guiding. Graphical display that informs the driver (Caterpillar) where  his blade is in respect to the theoretical road surface. Arrows indicate if he should raise or lower the blade and he is also given the differences in figures. Section, Dside, Dhight and inclination.
 
 

Demo Version of GEODOS

We have prepared a demo version of the program so you can try it out. 
The demo version is 10.30. Apart from the usual limitations of a demo version it will perform in the same manner as the full version. You may use this version for as long as you like and you can give to your friends and colleagues. To obtain the full version send us an E-mail, call or write us. 
If you are student of any relevant subject you may find this demoversion a very useful tool in your studies and its free.
  • Download GEODOS 10.30 for the PSION Workabout - Series 3C (A) 

    • The file is an self extracting exe file. Place it in an empty folder and click on it to open it.
    Then connect your Psion with the appropriate cable. Click on Psisetup.exe and the program will install itself. 
    Press menu and choose Apps and install geodosd.opa from the drive where you have placed it. 
    Install the file Geodosd.opa and you should have the icon.
    Start the program and enjoy it.
 

GEODOS for the PSION Organiser II and LZ

This is the machine that began it all. One of the most long lived machines in the computer industry. The XP has been discontinued by PSION but you may still order the LZ. There are still countless numbers of used machines around. For those of you that own an XP or LZ we can offer you GEODOS for these machines. 
It has the same basic functions as the program for the Workabout. 
If you are considering investing in both computer and program we recommend you to for the Workabout since is the machine of the future. GEODOS will not be upgraded beyond it's present state on the Organiser platform.
