ABC Measuring program
This program lets you measure objects that are difficult to get at with
an ordonary prism. One such place is for instance objects submerged in
water.
The way it works is that you have a rod with two prisms or reflexive
tape. These are points A and B.
The distance between point B and C must be measured. You then place
the end of the rod at the object you wish to measure.
You measure points A and B and the program calculates the coordinates
for point C.
If you know the height of the cutoff plane for your object you can
measure without knowing the distance B and C.
When you measure under water you could use a wire and a diver to place
it.
Your imagination sets the limit on how to use this techique.
